Cubase 10LE with Kushview Element, 3 midi channels into 3 VSTs

If you have the LE version of Cubase, you do not get any kind of control over MIDI channel routing...every VST reacts to every midi input...now my test application isn't necessarily useable for recording...but I wanted to see the options.

First add Elements as an instrument track

• next set your 'inspector' midi input to any for that track.
• Then go into Elements (I think you have to set this first in standalone mode) and set it to listen to some or all midi channels.
• Now in Elements add your VST or VSTs.
• wire it to the midi input and the audio output (I tested this with three VSTs and used the mixer to route to the output).
• -For each VST click on it (within elements) and in the midi 'tab' select the appropriate channel.
• With some VSTs you will also have to select the midi channel in the VST (Arturia AnalogLab for example)

So now you can send multiple midi channels, Element will only listen for the ones you chose, and they will be routed to the appropriate VST.

BTW...DO NOT USE the KVElements MIDI Monitor in Cubase...at least in the version I am using...it will not reload the project after it is saved...

Hey thanks for the tip. Any problems with state not restoring should be resolved in bleeding edge code. I can tell by the GUI you're on 0.46 or 0.47

Yea just the normal releaae.

i am using the latest release of Cubase LE 10.5

the only problem I have noted is the MIDI monitor in elementa does not play well with Cubase. If you have a monitor and save the project…cubase will crash rather than open that project. Same project without MIDI monitor is just fine.

Got it, that problem is more than likely fixed in the develop branch.
