A wrapper around Yii2 Bootstrap Modal for using an ActiveForm via AJAX inside.
The preferred way to install this extension is through composer.
Either run
$ php composer.phar require --prefer-dist loveorigami/yii2-modal-ajax "@dev"
or add
"loveorigami/yii2-modal-ajax": "@dev"
to the require section of your composer.json file.
Extend your basic logic with ajax render and save capabilities:
public function actionCreate()
{
$model = new Company();
if ($model->load(Yii::$app->request->post())) {
if ($model->save()) {
return $this->redirect(['view', 'id' => $model->id]);
}
}
return $this->render('create', [
'model' => $model,
]);
}
to
public function actionCreate()
{
$model = new Company();
if ($model->load(Yii::$app->request->post())) {
if ($model->save()) {
if (Yii::$app->request->isAjax) {
// JSON response is expected in case of successful save
Yii::$app->response->format = \yii\web\Response::FORMAT_JSON;
return ['success' => true];
}
return $this->redirect(['view', 'id' => $model->id]);
}
}
if (Yii::$app->request->isAjax) {
return $this->renderAjax('create', [
'model' => $model,
]);
} else {
return $this->render('create', [
'model' => $model,
]);
}
}
