Shortly after writing a snapshot, Revit becomes unresponsive. A couple seconds later it crashes with a hard crash (no bug report window, journaling ends abruptly). I can provide journals if needed. We used the installer that ships with Clarity 2023.1 - I would assume that's the latest version.

Is this supported anymore?
I get the same for Revit 2024. 🤷‍♂️

This works. Thanks for your help!

Also, do you have a guide on getting the dynamo node to run like in your YouTube video?

Ha. Me neither! But it looked cool.

What I'm trying to accomplish is comparing two models to track the changes visually for take-off quantities like concrete, etc.
With the materials parameter, is it possible to break it out by type with Metamorphosis?

Thanks for continuing to support this @mattmas!

@Species919 this Dynamo definition is OLD, likely many version releases ago. The data visualization was built primary using the Mandrill package, which may or may not still be working. My suggestion is to reverse-engineer the logic in the script and integrate the now out-of-the-box chart nodes in the latest release(s) of Dynamo. For example:
https://dynamobim.org/dynamo-core-2-18-release/

You could also likely link the output data into a proper data visualization tool like PowerBI or Tableau for even more customization and interactive dashboarding. Good luck!

Thanks for chiming in. My understanding of Dynamo is rudimentary but I see the usefulness of process automation.
This sounds like a fun project to learn, in between the day to day.

Thanks again for everyone's input!
Sorry to the OP for high jacking your thread! I hope your issue was resolved as well. 😳

It would definitely be useful in a niche that isn't effectively filled.

While true, it's hard to tell what you're going to get as far as materials vs appearances in a model, I've found with the search capabilities in a product like Revizto or even Navisworks search sets, you can get a good general sense of what the model contains. But it's always a 3rd party platform to mine the information Revit inherently contains and compare it to what it was before in order to quantify any quantity changes from a GC's perspective.

I was always good at spot the difference pictures but they were only 2D! 😁
