Hi, this is a bit silly, but I'm confused about the following example in
meow-tutor
:Following the provided directions, if we move to the beginning line with
-->
, grab selection, then go to beginning of word, we'll get cursors over each of the numbers. I'm confused how to actually record a macro.I've tried
M-x meow-beacon-start
, applying the sequence of keystrokes at point, thenM-x meow-beacon-end-and-apply-macro
. I've also tried just directly recording a macro while the selection is still grabbed usingC-x (
, but I run into an error saying that macros can only be recorded in normal or motion state, despite being in normal state.Obviously, without meow, we could record a macro that surrounds the number with the desired characters, then repeat the macro twice for the remaining numbers, but I can't figure out the Beacon way to do it. For example, is there a way to yank/save the "thing at point" for each cursor?
