rtl_433 syslog output #2483

Hello at all, but especially christian @zuckschwerdt . :)

can somebody help me at this strange behavior? when i start rtl_433 as service at at a linux OS in that way

i get this output for a lot of devices

rtl_433 received that device but it will not send over syslog:127.0.0.1:1435

have anybody any suggestions for me how can i solve that

Ok then /usr/bin/rtl_433 is a system package (e.g. Debian) and plain rtl_433 is /usr/local/bin/rtl_433 -- the newer version you compiled yourself.

That should not happen. There is no filter on the outputs.
Perhaps try one of the syslog example python scripts to see if it is maybe a newline / buffering / special char problem?

funnily enough i can see the Toyota TPMS but not the Jansite-Solar. when i choose the output -F jason:/dir/dir/value.json then i can see the Jansite-Solar.

i found out what the problem was. :)
in the service unit i start rtl_433 like this

ExecStart=/bin/bash -c "/usr/bin/rtl_433 -f 433920000 -f 433920000 -H 120 -F syslog:127.0.0.1:1435"

Now i have tryed to start rtl_433 in the service unit like this

ExecStart=rtl_433 -f 433920000 -f 433920000 -H 120 -F syslog:127.0.0.1:1435

and it works i can see the Janisite. But i don't know what the linux system does?
