following the issue: #6495
I want to enable VS Code auto formatter on python files on Python 2.7 .( i know that it is out of date but i don't have a choice currently because of my teams product)
environment :
windows 10 (also tried on linux)
python version: 2.7.13
autopep8 1.4.4
pycodestyle: 2.5.0
tried autopep8 extension version: v2022.2.0
the below is working:
c:\Python27\python.exe c:\python27\lib\site-packages\autopep8.py --in-place "C:\source code\Learning\Python\test_python_2.7\test.py"
but formatting with autopep8 via VS code is not working and i tried almost every configuration under workspace settings.json file
according to the discussion #6495,
it seems that the user used extension 2019.6.22090 which is no longer supported. maybe the extention version is the root cause for the issue.
what are my options to auto format python files on python 2.7.13 with VS code ?
