Why am I seeing 80070005 Access is denied
in my logs?

Running various commands - e.g. I tried updating to v1.8.532-preview but that hasn't helped. Running these commands in an elevated terminal using my local admin account looks like it works fine, but the problem then persists in my non-elevated user account. I can't elevate my main user account; I can only elevate to a local admin account. Example using non-admin

To add to this, if I try and upgrade a package, e.g.
If I try and upgrade elevated, winget says "No installed package found matching input criteria."

I found a solution. This comment pointed me in the right direction: #3001 (comment) For reasons unknown, permissions on my Deleting the directory fixed the problem. |

For reasons unknown, permissions on my
C:\Users\c.roper\AppData\Local\Temp\WinGet
directory had got messed up.Deleting the directory fixed the problem.
