MODPATH6 timeseries particle tracks in PlotCrossSection with gradient colors?

Hello.

I'd like to gradient color MODPATH6 timeseries segments by timestep in a PlotCrossSection. The LineCollection arguments I'm presently using to color (see below) don't seem to work, though the lines do still plot as gray. Perhaps I am missing some important syntax?

plot timeseries returns a matplotlib LineCollection object. From the matplotlib collection documentation, it looks like the argument that you should pass your cmap to is either edgecolors=cmap or facecolors=cmap.
