If dpkg-buildpackage "statsd" does not work on Ubuntu 16.04
#StatsD metrics collector
...
dpkg-buildpackage
...
dpkg-checkbuilddeps: ...: dh-systemd (>= 1.5)

Then run the following cmd:

apt-get install dh-systemd autotools-dev
