If you have an account that doesn't have a password and you try to sign in, we attempt to send you an email to set a password but not before you see this strange page...

Some thoughts

  • I can't tell why I would want to edit the username here, or what effect that could have?
    • If I change the username here and hit Continue, what happens?
  • Why is there a green checkmark next to the username? It makes it seem like "things are OK" when actually things aren't okay overall.
  • Continue is a vague action - can we change it to Set Password or something like that?

  • the editability is likely because there's a chance you typed your username incorrectly?
  • i assume if you click continue after changing the username it will attempt to set a password for that account
  • checkmark probably means that it is a valid username
  • totally agree, Continue is a terrible call to action here
