v20210322...master shows +50 commits since last release.

Do you have any plans to release new version soon? 🤔

not sooner than someone would contribute stable GTK 4 support, i guess

the author of this project also haven't been contributing for quite a while, so i really don't know about the future

in my specific case for Themix theme designer - i might look through the list of material-styled gtk4 themes which are currently maintained, and if they don't have gtk2 or gtk3 theme - combine them together with Materia

however i didn't had time to make such research yet, as it takes some time finding them, and properly testing all possible sidecases, to make sure theme is good enough for shipping with Themix

Nevertheless IMO it would be good to flush those changes as hey are not related to gtk 4.x .. 😋

If the owner is not active perhaps @actionless can start his own fork?

@groeffen i can merge the changes if you'll send them or would pay for updating the gtk4 theme :)

no one really interested in writing couple of thousand lines of code of scss, and next every couple of months figuring out which random css classes gnome devs decided to rename randomly (they not announce that in release notes, and also there is no clear (grep-able) commit-message pattern neither)

I can only repeat .. "nevertheless IMO it would be good to flush those changes as hey are not related to gtk 4.x .. 😋"

it's not only gtk which is outdated, other stuff, like Gnome-Shell theme (and mb Cinnamon? idk) also out-of-date (#625), so that would be quite weird to release it now in a state, which not working with now-versions of the software

Depends on what amount you'd find fair for gtk4 (and other bugfixes) support. Any chance you're familiar with KDE themeing as well? materia-kde could use some love as well.

it could be two potential approaches - 1) using smth like bountysource, for setting prices for each ticket, or 2) having donation fund, and depending on its size at the end of the month - spent appropriate amount of hours for support

first usually works better for projects with not so big userbase
