Cross compiling for ESP32/ESP8266

I have a few use cases where I'd like to be able to run fprime on an ESP32 or ESP8266 device, s.a., a D1 mini. Any idea if this is possible?

I also have an interest in this, I have a high confidence that it could work. Caveat Emptor, I have flown missions with F Prime on a ATmega128, so I know small platforms can be done and they require a fair amount of platform work to shoehorn it in there.

@SterlingPeet I don't have one, I have some spare ESP8266's would that work ?

@YeltsinMartin I haven't been able to get full system under the 32k limit that ESP8266 incurs, although I have not tried compiling for that platform explicitly. Same problem for the Arduino SAMD21, which I have attempted to compile and it is too big for the platform. I think that the ESP32s might be possible, but I also have not tried directly.
