When the PostgreSQL service is unavailable (for example during postgres patching) the pgAgent (Version 4.2) Windows service stops with the message "Failed to query jobs table!".
The Event Viewer details are below...
The problem here is that there is no trigger to restart the pgAgent service once the PostgreSQL service is running again.
Setting the pgAgent service with the following recovery settings does not work on Windows Server 2019....
Why does the pgAgent service need to stop?
Couldn't it wait and attempt reconnection after 30 seconds or so?
