I'm running the pop OS 24.04 alpha with popdev:master and all the latest changes pulled and installed.
When I boot up my PC with two monitors plugged in, cosmic-greeter is super laggy, to the point where it's difficult for me to enter my password. If I unplug one monitor and reboot, it's perfectly responsive.
My PC has a dedicated NVidia 3070 and no integrated GPU. Once logged in, cosmic-desktop is very responsive, and I doubt this problem is purely performance from having to drive a second monitor.
I've checked journalctl but there are no logs relevant to the laggy period of time
Let me know if there's anything I can do to root down the problem. I am comfortable building a custom cosmic-greeter if necessary

I'm affected to.
I have dual monitors. It used to work perfectly fine with my previous Intel cpu (i9700k).
Now it's supper laggy since I switched to AM5 cpu (9950x).
Takes about 1sec per keypress, very frustrating.
Same here. Password input works fine when using only laptop screen. After connecting to 2 external displays password typing is very laggy to the point, where I get "bad password" sometimes, because not all my key-presses are registered when typing password fast and "Enter" immediately afterwards.
My setup:
Cosmic Alpha 3 on Manjaro
Dell E5470 with Intel i5-6300U and integrated graphics
