How to add a new place?

You can add a new place to the map by either using the form on map.qiekub.org, or by adding a place to OpenSteetMap itself.

Adding on Qiekub

Visit map.qiekub.org to add a new place.

You'll be guided through adding and editing with a few simple questions.
Use OpenSteetMap to add more advanced information.

Adding a new place is only available when the browser window is bigger than 800px (eg. on desktops).

Adding on OpenSteetMap

Visit opensteetmap.org to add a new place.

We daily load all changes from OpenSteetMap that have a variation of the tags lgbtq, gay or fetish.

We display the following tags on our map:

From the name-namespace:

  • name
  • name:en

From the contact-namespace:

  • website
  • phone
  • email
  • facebook
  • twitter
  • youtube
  • instagram
  • yelp

Other tags:

  • addr (The whole address-namespace)
  • min_age
  • max_age
  • opening_date / start_date
  • closing_date / end_date

Planned to use tags:

  • opening_hours
  • wheelchair
  • toilets, toilets:wheelchair and toilets:unisex. But the tags is currently not well defined.

The tags lgbtq, gay, community_centre, type, sauna, club, audience and gayfriendly are internally also saved as more general audience tag. (See: Audience)

The tags, we use to match OpenStreetMap-places to places in our database can be found here: Details-on-the-OpenStreetMap-to-Qiekub-matching-algorithm.
