So currently the closest feature to this is "Hide Title and Channel..." under the Shorts settings. The current setting hides all of the crap overlay on the bottom left of shorts--channel name and avatar, description, superlike stuff, etc.
The current setup solves my biggest frustration with the YT app, which is all that extra crap on the bottom left frequently covers up captions, text, or important details in the short.
However, the current setup also leaves you no way to access and/or subscribe to the channel of the short you're watching. So if you run across a new channel whose content you enjoy there is nothing you can click on to access/subscribe to the channel.
So tl;dr, I'd love a feature to hide the video description from shorts but still leave the channel name/subscribe button, or at least a setting so if all the bottom-left info is hidden there is still a way to access the channel of the short you're watching.
Many thanks! (I've attached images of what I'm talking about--both the way that the default settings hide portions of the video and how if you enable "hide title/channel" there is no way to see or subscribe to the channel that posted the short)
