Whether it is possible to directly capture a screenshot of a Windows 10 virtual desktop via a handle

If you mean from an app running in the remote machine you will need https://github.com/lovettchris/wincam, dxcam does not work in a remote desktop for some reason.

If you mean the host machine capturing the contents of the remote desktop window, here's a screenshot showing that working using the wincam/examples/mirror.py script passing the process id of the remote desktop app (mstsc.exe): python mirror.py --process 32216
