Is this a new feature, an improvement, or a change to existing functionality?
New Feature
How would you describe the priority of this feature request
Low (would be nice)
Please provide a clear description of problem this feature solves
Our current python API performs string and multi column renumbering through CUDF which is not as efficient as the one in cuGraph ETL. However, the latter doesn't support multi column and strings renumber hence, an updated implementation which can be exposed to the C and PLC API will speed up some of our ETL steps.
Describe your ideal solution
Update the renumbering in cuGraph ETL to support multi columns and strings and remove the python based renumbering.
Describe any alternatives you have considered
