changes from version 0.2.0 to version 0.3.0
---------------------------------------------
* fixed an annoying bug in the 'netcdf writer' module which led to trouble on x86_64 architectures. I was basically writing data of one type to variables of another which didn't affect 32-bit architectures due to the nature of the types.
* mainly a bug fix in pinel_hs_elastic.c - the grid size was not being taken into account when calculating radial distances (ouch). That bug crawled in at some point during development after v.0.2.0.
* added geographiclib to ./libs for future relases, library to be used for LAT LON reading and geodesic calculations
* implemented and tested conv.c (2d convolution in spatial domain) for single disk case. Did some formatting changes in other files.
* Fixed line in pinel green's functions which had developed into bugs when I started working on the spatial convolution - needed to take absolute values of x and y indices.
* added fourier_timeseries load history plugin which implements semiannual and annual load history superposition
* increased number of acceptable load functions to 1000 and added error message when this number is exceeded (fixed segmentation fault), adjusted respective places in code
* added testcase for fourier plugin in disk load directory
* fixed TYPO in crusde_info call
* rearranged directory structure
* got a fully commented crusde_api.cpp now. rebuilt documentation.
* changed Makefile help to give output for all targets.
Changed Makefile: added target 'debug' which now sets the 'DEBUG' flag
and creates a chatty version with all the output
crusde_debug gives; target 'all' should be the
release target.
* now gives reasonable error message when command line parameter is a non-existing file (changes in InputHandler); prior it would only crash
* fixed ability to use -p install in input handler, was broken when i added check whether xml file existed
* 'crusde -p install <plugin.so>' which is used in install_plugins.sh
This is the new way to fill $CRUSDE_HOME/plugins/plugins.xml with the plugins that come
with the standard distribution.
install_plugins.sh is a tcsh script which contains lists of the standard plugins in the
order necessary to meet all dependencies. For each plugin
crusde -p install <plugin.so>
is called which uses the the same functionality the existing GUI based PluginManager uses to test
the plugins and add them to the database, only that the GUI is not started.
* added possibility to allow for optional parameters:
- crusde-API expanded by crusde_register_optional_param* functions which ask for a default value for this parameter
- ParamWrapper carries flag 'optional' which is set by the registration functions
- InputHandler checks for this flag when going through the list of non-initialized (in XML file) params.
* added info.h
- contains the existing usage() function, called in InputHandler.
- contains new version() function, that gives ... tadaaa ... version information. (add retrieval of SVN revision number!)
* added output functions to API for plugins that are also used internally, all work like printf:
- crusde_info(message, ...): writes message to stdout
- crusde_warning(message, ...): writes warning message to stderr
- crusde_error(message, ...): writes error message to stderr and terminates CrusDe
- crusde_debug(message, ...): writes debug message to stderr if compiled with -DDEBUG
* added 'quiet' commandline option: -q/-Q
- shuts info messages off, errors and warnings are still displayed, as well as debugging messages.
- at least tells you that things have started and are finished.
* cleanup. removed files that do not belong in repository and renamed others so they are a little more intuitive.
* irregular load is now able to ignore comments and blank lines. it will abort with an error message if the format '%f%f%f' could not be read.
* changed 'degrees_lat/lon' to 'meters_lat/lon' as this is the actual unit right now.
