I am interested in using this project, but I see that since May 2019 no changes have been made.

Is development still active for this project?

@pablovegaimexhs my sense is that Papaya is mature and stable, and that the lead developers have moved on to other projects. You may want to look at NiiVue (click here for a live demo) which uses WebGL 2 (instead of WebGL 1) to fill a similar niche. The NiiVue team uses the core Daikon and NIfTI-reader-JS library developed by the Papaya team, and we are actively generating pull requests to those libraries. Since these core libraries are used by both Papaya and NiiVue, both projects benefit from these additions. In this way, the core libraries are being actively maintained.
