This is currently in beta release. Please test and respond with any issues. NOTE: macOS has problems with this version. Do not update. Wait for a new version to be released. Windows users can continue to test this version if they desire to.

New features

• Next/Previous preset knob control added. Rotate knob to run through all the develop presets that have assignments in MIDI2LR.
• New Help menu item Help → Plug-in Extras → MIDI2LR Generate diagnostic report to save diagnostic log.

Improvements

• DisabledControllers.xml file name was confusing. Now called Controllers.xml, as it lists all controllers, not just disabled ones.
• Log files easier to read.

Bug fixes

• Lightroom error on startup or profile change occurred sporadically for some users. Should be fixed with this release. Please post at https://github.com/rsjaffe/MIDI2LR/discussions if you are still having trouble.
• Constrain to warp command moved to Transforms group (was in Lens Corrections group).
• Crop move horizontally was malfunctioning when crop was angled. Fixed.

Note that I was unable to reproduce the crash with profile change/startup that some users were experiencing. It looks like that primarily affected Mac machines. I did trace through the program and find two potential causes that I've fixed:

1. On startup, the app was loading the initial profile twice within a 50 msec period due to an interaction between two initialization activities.
2. On module change, the app was rapidly scanning through all the settings, which could cause concurrency problems with Lightroom. That has been streamlined.

Open %AppData%\MIDI2LR folder and delete your MenuTrans.xml file if there is one. Restart Lightroom.

I do have difficulties to get midi2lr version 5.3 beta run on my mac.
(I just also tested 5.2 and this is running :-)

I got these diagnose log file while testing my launchpad mini mk3..

the plugin started with lightroom: ok
I even managed to add the .lrplugin into the security settings of my mac
the mac has the version: 12.1 (montery)
I am using ligtroom classic 11.1
the launchbad is working with ablaton 11 and also I could record the keystrokes into the midi2lr settings and store the file into a file named biblio.xml in the midi2lr settings folder

There appears to be a problem with macOS and MIDI2LR 5.3.0.0. Go back to 5.2 for now. I have to figure out what went wrong. I didn't change any code related to the problem, so I think it's a third-party library update bug. Not having a mac with Lightroom and controller, I can't debug this, so I'll have to step through the changes between 5.2 and 5.3 and eliminate any that might be involved, then release the new version for testing again.

Could you try 5.3.0.1? I've rebuilt it with a newer version of the framework. I went through all the changes between 5.2 and 5.3, and nothing should have affected port function. Thinking it's either a permission problem or a third-party library problem. Updated main third-party library and rebuilt.
