Contributing to ExpressTS-ReadySetGo

First off, thank you for considering contributing to ExpressTS-ReadySetGo. It's people like you that make ExpressTS-ReadySetGo such a great tool.

Getting Started

  • Make sure you have a GitHub account.

  • Submit a ticket for your issue, assuming one does not already exist.

    • Clearly describe the issue including steps to reproduce when it is a bug.
    • Make sure you fill in the earliest version that you know has the issue.

How to Contribute

Contributing to ExpressTS-ReadySetGo is straightforward. Follow these steps to contribute:

  1. Fork the repository.

  2. Clone your forked repository to your local machine:

    git clone https://github.com/sanjaysah101/ExpressTS-ReadySetGo.git

  3. Create a new branch for your changes:

    git checkout -b feature/your-feature

  4. Make your changes and commit them:

    git add .
git commit -m "Add your commit message here"

  5. Push the changes to your fork:

    git push origin feature/your-feature

Making Changes

  • Make commits of logical units.
  • Check for unnecessary whitespace with git diff --check before committing.
  • Make sure your commit messages are in the proper format.

Submitting Changes

  • Push your changes to a topic branch in your fork of the repository.
  • Submit a pull request to the repository in the ExpressTS-ReadySetGo.
  • After feedback has been given we expect responses within two weeks. After two weeks we may close the pull request if it isn't showing any activity.
