Now google trends has categories support
https://trends.google.com/trending?geo=US&hl=en-US&category=17

please allow category ASAP

We have some discrepancies with our category list and the category param name seems to have been added:

They are different from what you have
https://serpapi.com/google-trends-categories
Not sure if they changed them
For example
Entertainment = 4
https://trends.google.com/trending?geo=US&category=4
in yours is 3

@hartator I believe it's for Google Trends Trending Now API, where we haven't supported the category parameter yet. The categories are less then the Google Trends one.

it is different categories. Any ETA on adding support for the category parameter?

@githubfan21 Thank you for letting us know. Unfortunately, we do not have an ETA as of now, as it depends on the team's workload. We have prioritized it and we will update you when we have implemented this feature.
