Why did you join sktime's mentorship program?

Gain a deep understanding of its architecture and the underlying software engineering principles.
Contribute efficiently to the roadmap, with respect to introducing PyTorch-based implementations.
Create sktime tutorials for beginners and seasoned practitioners.

What topics are you working on?

Add the “use train set” option to the SplitterSummarizer transformer
Refactor splitter module
Work with the Pytorch integration effort
BaseTransformer simplification
Contribute to skpro refactoring

What are your learning goals?

Improve my ability to effectively communicate my ideas, concerns and advancements during meetings and in github/discord discussions
Acquire a comprehensive understanding of all the fundamental concepts upon which sktime operates
