Why did you join sktime's mentorship program?

  • Gain a deep understanding of its architecture and the underlying software engineering principles.
  • Contribute efficiently to the roadmap, with respect to introducing PyTorch-based implementations.
  • Create sktime tutorials for beginners and seasoned practitioners.

What topics are you working on?

  • Add the “use train set” option to the SplitterSummarizer transformer
  • Refactor splitter module
  • Work with the Pytorch integration effort
  • BaseTransformer simplification
  • Contribute to skpro refactoring

What are your learning goals?

  • Improve my ability to effectively communicate my ideas, concerns and advancements during meetings and in github/discord discussions
  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of all the fundamental concepts upon which sktime operates

What's next for you after the mentorship program?

  • Continue contributing to sktime
