Potential phrasing issue

Hi!
While following the documentation at https://api.slack.com/bot-users (index_bot_users.md) it stood out to me that the sentence, "In addition to receiving messages and activity in the channels it belongs to, the RTM API can be used to post messages as well" contains both the phrase, "in addition to" and, "as well". The way my brain processed it made it seem a little redundant, but I'm no English major and can't say for sure whether it is incorrect. I thought I'd bring it up just in case!
