I am a developer who is passionate about doing things right 🙂

I have a long history of open source contributions and projects, but I never asked money for it. The main fuel for me has been when users made insightful observations and feature requests, and then me being able to directly help out. As well as just making something that interested me personally.

In recent years I expanded my activity, and perhaps it is time to make it more sustainable by just accepting donations. Which may not really fund anything in the near future, but it's the sentiment that matters, and this gives me a way to see the potential of this approach.

These are the main projects that people are likely to know me from:

• Maintaining MkDocs for the past 2 years, as well as expanding its ecosystem of plugins.
  This is where I've been able to apply my expertise in Python – enabling advanced new features while fully preserving backwards compatibility for the countless existing sites and plugins.

• Running nightly.link completely at my expense for 2.5 years. Perhaps the donations will stimulate me to move the service to its separate server, so it doesn't have occasional outages 😅

• Contributing to Crystal programming language since 2015 and maintaining libraries for game development.

In any case, I will keep building great projects and keep them fully open for the community.
