I express my creativity through code. For too long I've been unable to share the results of it. With open-source, this changed and it felt good. My projects all started by scratching my own itch, and some of them have touched hundreds of users.
One of the most inspiring pieces of feedback I ever got was that someone actually wrote their Ph.D. thesis 'in' one of my tools.
Many of my projects are more like case studies where I explore a new way of doing things while also providing value - which often proves to be valuable to someone else in the world.
Whether you sponsor me or not I am going to continue to scratch itches and share my work with all the world, for free, for inspiration, for pleasure, for the sake of it 😄. I am driven by the love of the thing, not the result of the thing.
