Why is sponsorship for me important?

I am an advocate for free software. I still believe that apps should be freely accessible or should at least offer a free that gives value to the customer. I am not an advocate of early paywalls or pay-to-win programs. I am also not an advocate of advertisements. Dante, the book tracker app is free of ads. Athena will most likely contain a subscription model but mainly to cover the running costs. I am a founder of a company and recently became a dad. My time for writing open-source software is rare, but I do it with my full heart. Hence, any funds supporting me to do that are highly appreciated.
