Born and bred in Russia, since 2008 I've been living in the Netherlands and working as a freelance software developer in various organisations and companies.

Since late XX century I've also been fairly active in the free & open-source software domain. So I've ever developed a bunch of Delphi libraries to ease application localisation. In the last decade I'm only using Linux as my primary system and hence only develop Linux software.

I'm also running a blog at yktoo.com, where I share my expat experiences and provide updates about my software.

In 2019 one of my projects, the Sound Switcher Indicator, has been granted a free JetBrains license.
