hector_slam with own laser data (only /scan data, no /tf)

After running the package with the sample data it worked successfully.
But, now I am trying to use my own scan data which I saved into a bag file. When I run it, it doesn't give any output. I assume it's because of the lack of /tf topic.

I don't have IMU data. Should I create an /tf topic inside my bag file containing just the child_frame "/laser"? Does it make sense? Or is it possible to somehow run the package without giving the tf info as input?
