Recently this started happening and I have no idea if it got introduced with an update or if something is borked on my end.
I am on MacOS, Apple silicon. First mouse click activates a window if it wasn't active. These clicks are not passed through to the application like on Windows. For this issue I want to stress that the window is active.
The problem is that when I click the X to close a tab, it doesn't close on the first click. It actually registers the click because I can see the X button respond and sometimes there's even a flash of tooltip when that wants to popup but got interrupted by the mouse click. I can activate another tab (bring it to the front), click the X and same thing happens. So to be clear, the click to activate the tab and bring it to front is NOT the first click on the X. I click the tab, wait for it to finish loading. Then I click X (its ignored but registers), and then I click the X again and it closes). I can do this repeatedly with a whole bunch of open tabs, then go back to the first tab and it will close when the X is clicked. I can then close the entire row I had clicked the X on.
Its perfectly repeatable with one unknown. The time required between first and the second click on the X, before it forgets the first click (so that the second click becomes the first click again). I don't know.
I find the click to activate a window first on MacOS annoying, but this beats that hands down. Its downright irritating 🤣 .
Does anyone have an idea what might cause this?
