	Welcome! We are the <b>Lab for Human-AI Interaction</b> in the <a href="https://www.cs.washington.edu">Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering</a> at the <a href="https://uw.edu">University of Washington</a>. Our research is positioned at the intersection of artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and human-computer interaction.
    <br/><br/>
    We build human-AI systems that empower people and benefit humanity. Our current research directions include:

        <li>Understanding explanations for responsible human-AI interaction and decision-making</li>
        <li>Design of intelligent systems for consumption and co-creation of scientific literature</li>
        <li>Applications of human-AI interaction to cultural heritage and the digital humanities</li>
