I've been testing Deck.gl to visualize rain drop over western europe. The goal is to show a 5min animation of rain drop within a dynamic map (with pan and zoom).
I am using ColumnLayer with a little extrudation, data is passed in binary format and it's working pretty good ! The animation is really smooth (thanks to the binary feature cause there is no work for the CPU i assume :)
But when paning and zooming things gets slow and laggy, and CPU usage is rising. I wonder what is causing this behavior and if something can be done to ease things up...
