RHEL 9 binary for VisIt 3.4.1?

Are there plans to add a RHEL 9 binary for VisIt 3.4.1?

(I tried to run the RHEL 7 VisIt 3.3.3 on my RHEL 9 cluster, but it doesn't work.)

We are looking into a few different options for RHEL. Some of those options (e.g. AWS) include a RHEL 9 image.

@BenWibking I made a distro from RockyLinux 8.9 container. I can try a version 9 as well, if you are willing to test it.

I uploaded a rocky-linux 9 distro to our release assets:

It has '-beta' in the name.

It works smoothly so far on a RHEL 9 cluster over X11 from a Mac. It prints this warning when starting up, but everything appears to work anyway (although I don't have any MOAB datasets to test):

I can't test client-server mode at the moment (lacking an external mouse for the Mac client), but I'll try that tomorrow.

The plugin error means MOAB reader won't be available locally.
Might need to install lapack3.
I can see if it will build with a different version of lapack.

I did a fresh RockyLinux 9 build, and I think I may have used a different lapack.
when I do 'ldd' on libMOAB.so in the RockyLinux container I see this:
liblapack.so.3 => /lib64/liblapack.so.3

Is there such a file on your system?

No, that file doesn't exist on this system. Can it be bundled inside the Visit install?
