Adding Zigbee Gateway

Hello, im having trouble with adding a zigbee gateway thats connected via wifi to the rest of the network. ive properly set it up on the tuya app and the localtuya addon can see it, but gives me an error when trying to add it. i couldnt find docs helping me so i came here.

why do you want the gateway it self? does it have any purpose to do for example extra features on gateways other then being bridge for sub-devices?

just a bridge for zigbee devices. ive relunctantly used my cloud api to get it to work, but id love to know how i can have it without it being connected to the internet i guess

what I meant is that you can add your sub-devices without the gateway unless the gateway has some features then add it.

it doesnt have any special features, but i also wasnt able to see the zigbee devices so i thought i had to add it first

So the way localtuya make handshake with device is that it asks for some status from them e.g. the state of switch. but the normally gateway doesn't have any status to return .

The sub-device can be added normally with specify there own device ID however the node_id is also required for them, the only 2 fileds that shared with the gateway and sub-device is IP Address and LocalKey
