Data Warehouse (DWH) and Business Intelligence (BI) Projects and Tasks

A repository for the most highlighted University of Colorado's Data Warehousing for Business Intelligence Specialization projects and tasks that I've implemented during the learning journey. Also, there are some projects (side projects) and implementations that was an extra and I was curious and eager to apply.

Overview

The repository main structure content:

1. Business Requirements for different scenarios of businesses from different industries and interpreting them to the required prospective.
2. Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) either produced from the interpretation of business requirements or from different tasks (most of them are implemented using Crow's Foot Notations).
3. SQL Tasks for different requirements: DDL and DML for ERDs, dedicated tasks, or more analytical tasks).
4. Data Integration Tasks for integrating external data sources for up and running data warehouses.
5. Datawarehouse Side Project to implement and apply nearly all process and what is learned.
6. Reports and Dashboards for various scenarios of business industries that simulate real life problems.
7. Certifications of the completed courses of the specialization.

Tools & Databases Used

1. MySQL -PopSQL & PHP MyAdmin-:
   • Implementing most standard SQL tasks such that DDL, DML, Query and Sub Query tasks.
2. ER Assistant and Visual Paradigm:
   • For most of the ERDs and Database Design Schemas.
3. Microsoft Excel and WebPivotTable:
   • For making pivot tables and cubes.
4. Pentaho Data Integration:
   • For Data Integration and ETL tasks and projects.
5. PostgreSQL -pgAdmin4-:
   • Implementing SQL subtotal and analytic functions that is not available on MySQL DBMS.
6. MicroStrategy:
   • For BI analysis and building reports and dashboards.

Note: You should have these tools installed to be able to use and test project files.
