Currently, there is a firefox built-in context menu option to search a highlighted phrase in a new tab. However, this is a little troublesome because one has to open the new tab to just search the term and then close it. On a phone, at least on iOS, there is a "look up" function where you can look up the meaning of words in a pop-up without leaving the web page. The useful part is that it simply searches in a pop-up, which can be easily achieved if there is a context menu entry to search something using the default search engine within a glance window, making the process more seamless.
