This will host the api that will provide data to the food access map.
- Clone this bad-boy
git clone https://github.com/CodeForPittsburgh/food-access-server.git
cd food-access-server
- move to the cloned directory
cd food-access-server
- Setup virtual environment and install require
pip install virtualenv
virtualenv env -p python3 # creates virtual environment
. env/bin/activate # activates the virtual environment
pip install -r requirements
- Install the dependencies
pip install -r requirements.txt
- Set up a postgres database with PostGIS - instructions
- Modify and rename
food_access_backend/local_settings.py.example
per comments in that file - Migrate the models to your newly created db
python manage.py migrate
- Run the development server
python manage.py runserver
- You can add some sample data like this:
python manage.py load_csv sample.tsv
