UnO AI Pilot can also respond to any question you may have about HCL Universal Orchestrator, giving you the chance to expand your product knowledge with in-depth, bespoke answers. Start using UnO AI Pilot today to save time, reduce manual effort, and focus on growing your business in just a few clicks.

3. Embedded tasks for a clutter-free environment

You can now create task definitions within workflows without referencing task templates.

Embedded task definitions do not exist as standalone entities, they are solely manageable by editing workflow definitions, giving you greater control and customization capabilities. Embedded tasks also contribute to a clutter-free environment by removing the necessity for single-use task templates.

4. Every option: the safest way to automate repetitive tasks

The every option easily schedules tasks to run multiple times at specified intervals, ensuring a consistent orchestration without manual intervention.

The tasks run reliably at defined intervals, reducing the risk of human error and increasing productivity.

You can customize the option attributes, to take control of missed tasks, and choose whether to submit or skip them when the system comes back online.

The every option enables the effortless automation of tasks, ensures more consistent operations, and acts as a fail-safe for running tasks in the event of unscheduled downtime.

5. Get access to more information about your tasks with Workflow details

The Workflow details feature gives you more visibility into task progress and status.

Designing and deploying a comprehensive automated environment is a crucial step towards achieving high levels of productivity and efficiency. The next necessary step, however, is making sure you have the right setup to properly monitor, track and manage your environment.

This wealth of valuable information enables you to make precise, informed decisions on the go, letting you drive your environment in real-time whenever you need to make crucial adjustments. Take more direct control over your environment with Workflow details, and enjoy a smoother management of your processes.

6. Automated task handling with the advanced HCL UnO agent

With the new postscript feature for the HCL UnO agent, you can now run commands and scripts automatically based on the outcome of a task.

You can use this enhancement to create more dynamic processes by automating responses to specific task outcomes, reducing manual intervention and ensuring a more efficient task handling.

7. Improve your load balance with the affinity option

The Affinity option lets you direct tasks to run on specific workstations in a workstation pool where other specified tasks have previously run.

As a consequence, you can reduce the complexity of your workload and take more granular control over your environment.

8. Leverage the capabilities of the enhanced Executable plug-in for a greater customization of your environment

The updated executable plug-in efficiently runs scripts or commands, providing greater control and customization in automated processes.

You can now run scripts or commands using the executable plug-in under a different user profile. Simply add the user credentials in the task definition. This option provides a more secure and customized access control.

You can also add the jobprop utility in task definitions to set output properties that can be used in other tasks. This feature only works with the executable plug-in and it is especially useful in scenarios where specific values and parameters need to be shared across multiple tasks. This utility reduces redundancy and improves task coordination, helping you maintain a leaner, more efficient environment.

You can utilize the .unorc/unorc.cmd file to establish a custom environment for executable tasks. You can set up the environment variables directly in the file, which removes the need to configure them individually for each task. When the custom environment is set up, you can use it to run multiple tasks as the same user. This lets you set up fine-tuned environments where your tasks can run in accordance with your specific requirements and preferences.

9. Experience a seamless automation with File events

You can use events associated with file monitor tasks to create triggers that initiate workflows.

You can customize scheduling event attributes to create a trigger, and when the trigger event conditions are met, it initiates a specified workflow, ensuring a seamless and efficient orchestration that requires less human oversight to function.

10. Take full control of the files in your environment with File monitor

Stay always one step ahead with real-time file monitoring. File monitor tasks continuously track changes to your files, detecting updates as they happen or at custom intervals.

File monitor tasks can also monitor files in multiple folders simultaneously, helping you staying organized and in control of your environment. You can refine the scope of your monitoring by tailoring the task definition attributes to your specific needs.
