Bluetooth is a short range wireless communications technology that can be used for data transfer on many different platforms. In this project, you’ll explore the Bluetooth package in Android and determine how to securely transfer data using the phone’s Bluetooth stack. Next, you’ll need to manipulate the security functionality such that it uses your own key for encrypting the data file to be transfered. Finally, you’ll add functionality to allow two smart phones to construct a mutual key using Diffie-Hellman key agreement, assuming physical proximity (Note: you can assume that no man in the middle attacks are possible, so no signatures are needed). This key would then be used by one phone to encrypt a data file and transfer it to the other phone, where it would be used for decryption.
