Updates (Since last meeting)
- Cyrus finished uberenv + spack update (enables spack environments, now using Spack v0.20.3 (2023-10-31))
- Cyrus added zlib smoke test and refactored zlib cmake logic to address issues on new macOS
- Justin: materials support is in, lots of progess on Overlink flavored Silo
- Cyrus started looking at path forward for ZFP + HDF5 using heuristics to identify ND-ness
- Brad has been working on a new mesh tiling algo that targets strong scaling.
- Justin: More X Ray Image Image Query improvements.
- Arlie: 1D strip gen methods are working well with some post processing
- Arlie: AMR to Polytopal, need 3d transform support for multi-block (enhanced and reduced connectivity)
- Arlie: Debugger support for Conduit Nodes merged. (Works for Totalview, Visual Studio, needs some work for GCC)
Future:
- Helpers to modify names of mesh bp entries (rename a topology, rename a field)
- Top level Mesh BP Transforms Interface:
- Explore ZFP (or even ZLIB) Compression in HDF5 for ML Ensemble Data (Floating Point Images / Regular Grids)
