This is a clone of the popular awwwards app built using Python - Django.
- Users can view listed projects.
- Users can login to rate on posted projects.
- Users can interact with the Api used to build the project through Django Rest Framework.
- Users login to the platform and post projects to be rated.
BDD focuses on how the user will interact with the application. What users will see and experience:
1.Landing page with the Information about the page in the about section.
2. Users can login if they already have an acount or alternatively sign up.
3.After loging in users will be redirected to the home page where they can view different projects.A user can hover on the image and click on the view project button to be directed to the individual project page.
4.Users can rate the project and also see what other users have rated the project.
5. After clicking the rate button User will be directed to the ratig page where they'll see a wider view of the project, scroll to the rate form and rate the project based on design, userbility and content out of ten.
4.Users can also access a project's live link or the github repository.
5.Click on the upload project svg to add a project for others to view or the avatar icon to add a new project.
To clone the repository, run:
git clone https://github.com/Liz2222/awwards.git
Then navigating to the cloned directory:
cd awards
This awwwards Clone project requires a prerequisite understanding of the following:
- Django Framework
- Python3.8
- Postgres
- Python virtualenv
Activate virtual environment using python3.8 as default handler
virtualenv -p /usr/bin/python3.8 award-venv && source award-venv/bin/activate
Install dependancies that will create an environment for the app to run pip3 install -r requirements.txt
- psql
- CREATE DATABASE awards;
Create .env file and paste paste the following filling where appropriate:
SECRET_KEY = '<Secret_key>'
DBNAME = 'awards'
USER = '<Username>'
PASSWORD = '<password>'
DEBUG = True
python3.8 manage.py makemigrations
python3.8 manage.py migrate
python3.8 manage.py runserver
Open terminal on localhost:8000
The application is deployed on Heroku and is live on this link:
https://awards-liz.herokuapp.com/
