How to make a Slimefun Server
This is a quick guide on how to set up a local host paper server for 1.16 and install plugins on it.
Have Java. You probably already do because its needed to run Minecraft.
If you don't, download it here: Java download
Go to Paper's download page and download the latest build. It will look like this in your downloads folder:
Make a new folder for your server to live in:
Move the paper jar into that folder:
Double click on the paper jar, it will run and create some files and folders:
Open eula.txt:
Change eula=false to eula=true: (by changing false to true you agree to Minecraft's eula)
Make sure to save your changes.
If you want open server.properties and edit stuff but that's up to you.
Run the paper jar. After a few seconds it will open up a window like this:
An add more folders and files:
First, stop the server by typing stop in the console here then pressing enter:
Next, we will download the latest Slimefun build here.
Then InfinityExpansion (this addon) here.
Then Essentials (an essential plugin for general use) here, scroll down until you see something like this:
And click on the top one to download it:
Your download folder should have these files (Do not get CS-CoreLib Anymore!):
Move those files into the plugins folder (Do not get CS-CoreLib Anymore!):
Later, you can look around in that folder to find folders with configs for each plugin but for now we are ready to go.
Double click on the paper jar again, it will open this window again:
Open Minecraft, go to multiplayer, and click add server, the ip for your local host is 'localhost':
Click join server and you are done!
You can add more addons or plugins by dropping the jars into the plugins folder.
