#1602 Work around for security restrictions in Android 11+ (and particularly Android 13) when importing assets (from MoM official app and Descent official app).

Bugfix

Feature changes

  1. Import problems for Mansions of Madness have been fixed. ⚠️ Important: Please ensure to start the latest Mansions of Madness version at least once on your device to ensure it has downloaded all content.
  2. The import process for Android has been improved. For details please follow this process.

Known Issues

Android 13 folder selection not possible

On Android 13 the folder selection for the Mansions of Madness/Descent Road to Legend App does not automatically select the correct folder but instead goes to the Root folder of the device:

In this case the only workaround is too reset the official Files App for Android to its default state:

  1. Install Total commander.
  2. In Total Commander, go to the home folder and from there to "Installed Apps".
  3. Search for the app "Files" and click on it.
  4. In the properties of the app, click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner and select "Uninstall updates".
  5. Repeat the two previous steps if you also have an app called Files by Google.
  6. Afterwards try import in Valkyrie again.
  7. The import should now automatically select the correct folder:

Android 14 folder selection not possible

It currently seems to be impossible to select the correct folders for import on Android 14 even when resetting the files app. There are currently no known workarounds.

Images missing after import

Sometimes after importing data not all images have been imported. In this case please repeat the import process again.
