Python development in systematic way is difficult on Mac/Linux, if one desires to control the python version.

This repo offers bash functions for easier python development.

• Source files are in src/ folder.

• Examples are given in scripts/ folder.

• scripts/virtual_python_notebook.sh has instructions to

  1. create virtual env of desired python version;
  2. pip install desired packages
  3. start a book

• scripts/python_package_build_use_notebook.sh has instructions to

  1. create virtual env of desired python version;
  2. manually install packages via setup.py;
  3. start a notebook
