Introduction

jidoujisho is a full-featured immersion language learning suite for mobile, which allows for instant dictionary lookups and seamless flashcard creation when playing video or audio, reading novels or manga, listening to songs, receiving text from a texthooker or chatbot, and more.

The aim of the project is to develop free and open source software that eliminates the effort that a prospecting learner might need to set up an immersion learning and flashcard creation workflow.

The app is targeted towards language learners aiming for native-level comprehension by means of the input hypothesis, and is intended for use alongside AnkiDroid for flashcard creation. For Anki-specific documentation and support in regards to card types and formatting, please refer to their own user manual and repository.
