README – Created: March 2011 Last Revised: April 2011 There must be a config.properties file, the outline is here: https://github.com/artunit/gbook/blob/master/config/config.properties.sample Fill in the values, copy this to config.properties and place it in the "config" directory identified below. * tomcat installation If you are using tomcat, the location of the config file should be {tomcat-base}/work/Catalina/config copy the dist/gshelf.war file to webapps, and then access the application at: http://localhost:8080/gshelf/gdata/ or whatever host/port tomcat uses. This is the simplest option. * maven and jetty installation This combination is more involved and requires a few jar files that need to be installed manually: * gbook-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar (https://github.com/artunit/artunit-mvn-repo/blob/master/snapshots/org/conifer/gbook/1.0-SNAPSHOT/gbook-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar) * commons-httpclient-3.0.jar (http://archive.apache.org/dist/httpcomponents/commons-httpclient/3.0/binary/) * jtidy-r938.jar (http://sourceforge.net/projects/jtidy/files/JTidy/r938/jtidy-r938.zip/download) Download these and install them directly into your local maven repository: mvn install:install-file -DgroupId=org.conifer -DartifactId=gbook -Dversion=1.0-SNAPSHOT -Dpackaging=jar -Dfile=gbook-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar mvn install:install-file -DgroupId=commons-httpclient -DartifactId=commons-httpclient -Dversion=3.0.1 -Dpackaging=jar -Dfile=commons-httpclient-3.0.jar mvn install:install-file -DgroupId=jtidy -DartifactId=jtidy -Dversion=r938 -Dpackaging=jar -Dfile=jtidy-r938.jar The application is set up as a cocoon block, and maven can supply the application environment: mvn archetype:generate -DarchetypeCatalog=http://cocoon.apache.org Select option 3 and supply some package options: Choose archetype: 1: http://cocoon.apache.org -> cocoon-22-archetype-block-plain (Creates an empty Cocoon block; useful if you want to add another block to a Cocoon application) 2: http://cocoon.apache.org -> cocoon-22-archetype-block (Creates a Cocoon block containing some small samples) 3: http://cocoon.apache.org -> cocoon-22-archetype-webapp (Creates a web application configured to host Cocoon blocks. Just add the block dependencies) Choose a number: (1/2/3): 3 Define value for groupId: : org.conifer Define value for artifactId: : gshelf Define value for version: 1.0-SNAPSHOT: : 1.0.0 Define value for package: org.conifer: : The application's pom.xml file needs to be given the following dependencies: <dependency> <groupId>org.conifer</groupId> <artifactId>gbook</artifactId> <version>1.0-SNAPSHOT</version> </dependency> <dependency> <groupId>org.apache.cocoon</groupId> <artifactId>cocoon-core</artifactId> <version>2.2.0</version> </dependency> <dependency> <groupId>org.apache.cocoon</groupId> <artifactId>cocoon-servlet-service-components</artifactId> <version>1.0.0</version> </dependency> <dependency> <groupId>org.apache.cocoon</groupId> <artifactId>cocoon-template-impl</artifactId> <version>1.1.0</version> </dependency> <dependency> <groupId>org.apache.cocoon</groupId> <artifactId>cocoon-flowscript-impl</artifactId> <version>1.0.0</version> </dependency> <dependency> <groupId>org.apache.cocoon</groupId> <artifactId>cocoon-mail-impl</artifactId> <version>1.1.0-SNAPSHOT</version> </dependency> <dependency> <groupId>javax.servlet</groupId> <artifactId>servlet-api</artifactId> <version>2.4</version> <scope>provided</scope> </dependency> <dependency> <groupId>commons-httpclient</groupId> <artifactId>commons-httpclient</artifactId> <version>3.0.1</version> </dependency> <dependency> <groupId>javax.mail</groupId> <artifactId>mail</artifactId> <version>1.4</version> </dependency> <dependency> <groupId>jtidy</groupId> <artifactId>jtidy</artifactId> <version>r938</version> </dependency> <dependency> <groupId>org.ko.ourontario</groupId> <artifactId>cocoon-transformers-ko</artifactId> <version>1.1.0-SNAPSHOT</version> </dependency> Create a directory called config in "gshelf" and copy config.properties there. Jetty will launch the environment: mvn package jetty:run The application is available on the default jetty port: http://localhost:8888/gbook/ The resulting web page provides some details on how to start the application.
