Note

Screen recording and taking screenshots with AMD Software won't work in this version (last compatible version is 23.9.1). This problem is caused by the need to use an outdated kernel mode driver (we have to utilize to make the driver work with AMD Radeon Pro 5600M) and it's unlikely to be fixed anytime soon. Remember that AMD Software DVR is required for Performance tab and Overlay to function properly (i.e. to get FPS readings). Make sure to have AMD External Events Service running to get FPS readings.

23.9.1 · 23.Q3.1

Note

This is the last release that features fully functional Media & Capture (Record & Stream) tab in control panel. Later releases loose the ability to Take a Screenshot and Record a Video with AMD Software due to incompatibility with the older kernel mode driver we have to utilize to make the driver work with AMD Radeon Pro 5600M (later versions of the driver cause "white screen" crash of the system). The main driver feature difference of this release with the later releases is the lack of D3D12 Enhanced Barriers support to run the game (i.e. Forza Motorsport error code AP205). Make sure to have AMD External Events Service running to get FPS readings.

Hotfix (May 1, 2024): OpenGL and Direct3D-related tweaks provided by BootCampDrivers.com were removed from driver INF file since extensive benchmarking showed tweaks hinder performance of AMD Radeon Pro 5600M in DirectX 12 games (e.g. Resident Evil 2, Forza Horizon 5). Further releases will not feature BootCampDrivers.com's OpenGL and Direct3D-related tweaks. You can download heavily outdated (but digitally signed) package of AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 23.9.1 WHQL here.
