Full Changelog: v0.2-rc2...v0.2-rc3

Known issues:

  • The Ubuntu Cloud Image SRC_URI referenced a daily build which expired. Fixed in 41a06dd.
  • The Ubuntu guest sometimes does not start on system boot. This seems to occur only with a "cold" reset, and not when e.g. issuing reboot in Dom0. Use systemctl restart xendomains.service in Dom0 to rectify this.
  • Performance of the Ubuntu guest is marginal. Support for customizing vCPU count for Ubuntu will arrive in v0.3.
  • The logging level for the default Ubuntu console is too high, producing debug string pollution. This will be fixed in v0.2-rc4.

NOTE:

Instead of using the attached image, you should consider configuring the build for your particular Raspberry Pi 4 (at least 4GiB RAM required). A device with 8GiB RAM would be able to allocate a greater amount of memory to one or more of:

  • EWAOL Control Domain (Dom0)
  • EWAOL Guest OS (Dom1)
  • Ubuntu 20.04 (Dom2)

In the attached image, each of these domains are allocated 1GiB memory.
