This is the initial release for version 2.8.0 and thus is the first version I am releasing which builds and packages properly for multiple operating systems.

NOTES:

  • Most (if not all) issues in the alpha release have been resolved.
  • Please report any bugs or feature requests as you see fit.

ALPHA WARNING:

This is a pre-release version and a lot of things could be broken that may or may 
not be known about. All known issues will be listed below. There is a high chance 
of encountering bugs or broken features in this version. It is recommend this only 
be used for evaluation purposes. 

Please report any bugs or broken features! Please check the issues page to 
see if the issue is already posted before posting anything.

Known Issues:

  • Saving of files doesn't work (see Issue #2)
    • UPDATE (11/17/2019): A temporary fix for this has been pushed and saving should work in the new builds below
  • None of the functions in the 'Help' menu work
  • 'Recent Files' menu doesn't work and has been disabled at this moment

NOTE:

This version is the last version to be posted on the original logisim website. That means that there are a few things to note about this:

  • This was not built using the source code it is released with.
  • This was done as a way to host a mirror of the last built and fully (to my knowledge) working version of this program.
  • I know versions of the source code and and these files don't match. This is not an error as 2.7.1 was the last stable build I could find, even though 2.7.3 is the current source version.
  • I will not have MacOS specific builds for the time being since I need to find a new way to package them that works with my build system.
  • My versioning scheme will probably not be the same as the original one (you can see the original one below).
  • Attached is the README for 2.7.1... I suggest reading through it.
